First off, What is Pruning Day? Pruning Day is vital to the overall health of a Vineyard. It is when you trim off as much of the old wood as possible during its dormant stage to encourage new wood to grow and produce grapes.
Arrive around 8:30 a.m. for introductions, coffee, and a light breakfast. The workshop will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. with Fritz Westover, our Viticulturist, explaining some of the basics on planting and pruning. The program will move outside where you will enjoy a beautiful morning in the vineyard and do some hands-on learning. Bring a large bag and you can select cuttings to take home to start your own vines with, and/or pick out some to use for making grapevine wreaths or other crafts.
Please RSVP with free tickets below, or by calling us at 281-803-9463.
